About Us

About Thick As Thieves Artisan Goods:

Thick as Thieves Artisan Goods is a handcrafted makery based in Chester County, PA. This artisan studio is home to the creative shenanigans of two everyday girls just trying to get by on a wing and a prayer, good food, and pretty things. We eat, sleep and breathe inspired ingredients, original color palettes, naturally found textures, one-of-a-kind fragrances, and reimagined materials so that we can bring our customers the finest in handcrafted soaps, decor, gifts and accessories. Follow along in our adventures, and let a little bit of thievery into your life. Join us on social media as we turn the ordinary into the extraordinary. We think you’ll enjoy the ride!

About the Artisans (Jocelyn “JJ” & Laura “LL”):

Jocelyn describes herself as, “a creative soul by nature who is almost ALWAYS inspired by MOST things.” (Hashtag: You Do The Math.)  Jocelyn’s passion in life is to create simple yet majestic items that add a vibrant sparkle and natural beauty to the world. Some would say such things are the pinnacle of pricelessness. This self-made All-American Girl can be found driving her Chevy to the Levy in genuine cowhide cowgirl boots hoot’n and holler’n at the top of her lungs, “You’re never fully dressed without a smile!” – to the alarm and delight of passers-by. Insider tip: She doesn’t leave home without a pair of earrings on or a fresh sip of her homemade small-batch kombucha.

Laura sees herself as a “Jane of all trades” whose incomplete resume (last updated in the spring of 2006) depicts Laura as a freelance artist & creative consultant living in the greater Philadelphia area with her husband and three sons. Laura has been a Director of Sales and Marketing, an Advertising Agency Manager, a Branding Specialist, a Photographer, a Graphic Designer, an Interior Designer, an Author, a Blogger, a Vlogger, an Illustrator, an Elementary School Teacher, a Radio Station Operator, a Club Leader, a Community Volunteer, a Local Activist, a Vocalist, and a long string of assorted odds and ends jobs, most of which aren’t worth mentioning. She’s always up for a cup of coffee, especially with like-minded creatives.
